A modular furniture system, which can be combined in various ways to create different office islands. As a communal furniture docks can be both a meeting place and interface as well as a retreat for relaxation and concentration. The modules can be put together in such a way as to provide acoustic and visual privacy or open-plan meeting areas. The elements are designed to match the dimensions of ophelis furniture, so that shelves and cabinets can be seamlessly connected and integrated. docks is a connection and transition element between various zones in the office.

Shelter01

Shelter is a tool organize and individualize working [and living] environments. It’s intended use is to create a high level of comfort and at the same time maintain flexibility, serving a variety of professional as well as personal needs. Form giving Element and main difference to other partition systems is a sheltering roof which provides an individual environment concerning sound and light, upholding privacy without giving up transparency.

Side table with oak veneer top. Angle profiles frame the table plate and thus protect the butting edges. Frame is available in various sizes and finishings.

Etcetc-4

etc etc bench is made of veneered chipboard. An interesting interaction of 2-dimensional plains and 3-dimensional shapes is due to its white coated inside surfaces. The angled side parts offers an optimal stability with no additional cross connections.

A screen system. The translucent and modular elements of Mesh divide open architectural spaces without establishing a completely opaque separation. The textile modules form a lightweight honeycomb structure which can be extended indefinitely. One can form walls or organic spaces that are interwoven in a simple and minimalist way.
Three types of light honeycomb modules are knitted in a high-tech process, three-dimensionally warped by heat and then stiffened.

A modular lighting concept. The modules of Lightwave can be combined in various configurations to pixel-like light carpets. The communal lighting object is designed in such a way that the curved outlines create a 3D shape that allows endless addition of modules – creating together a fluent movement of convex/concave shapes.

3-Seater. The angled seating generates a face-to-face situation, encouraging conversations. A variety of constellations can be provided by combining several Mutu-units in different arrangements.

On the occasion of the 50th independence day in Nigeria, we developed a concept for a temporary exhibition at the velodrome in the capital Abuja. Subject of the exhibition was a journey through 50 years of Nigerian history.

“In guter Verfassung” is a traveling exhibtion bringing the key elements of the liberal-democratic constitutional order closer to high school kids and fight tendencies of right wing radicalism. The exhibition was commissioned by the federal office for political education and will be visiting the schools of Saxony from 2009 to 2015.

The Microdome is a microarchitectural space. In offices, lofts or lobbies, it describes a translucent and osmotic room that still has all the positive characteristics of an architectural unit. The first domes were built for the exhibition “EU+” at Designmai in Berlin. The Microdome is made of 5 different types of honeycomb modules.

Dike-2

Modular shelf-system which is intended to work on its own as well as in combination. Each component is made of coated top- and bottom-shelf, two side-elements of acrylic glass, rear and blind are made of aluminum. Rear and blind work as feet and also cover the connection between the elements, forming a unit.

The name of the boat is Çabuk, which means “fast” in Turkish. And that’s how we built it – within less than two weeks in our office workshop.
